After the infamous fall of the Galactic Empire, the surviving Stormtroopers were scattered all over the galaxy. A few of them landed on a system called Earth, waiting impatiently for orders. But to no avail. Without the Empire to fight for, these troopers sold their Imperial vehicle parts, lugged their backpacks, and began to travel the world.
Adventure. Hmmpf! Excitement. A Jedi craves not these things.
But a Stormtrooper certainly does! These Stormtroopers are taking Instagram travel world by storm. #punintended
Andy (Telford, England) @smoothimperial
Andy is originally from the town of Telford in England. He moved to New York for work and eventually considered the city his home base. He first sported his Stormtrooper helmet in 2004, but his first proper outing was at a Halloween Event in New York in 2013. He decided to up his game and go for a classy trooper – all-white suit, black shirt, white tie, and shiny helmet. That’s how the Smooth Imperial was born.
His favorite travel destination is the Black Rock City Burning Man. When he went on a three-week trip across the USA, he traveled by the Californian Zephyr. And then for 12 days, he’s in the Nevada Desert for the event.
A few other places on his travel bucket list includes the Grand Canyon, the Yosemite, and the Sequoia National Park. There is also a plan to tour Spain with his girlfriend. And with his helmet, of course.
Though not a 501st Legion certified, Andy is one solid example of Bad Guys Doing Good. As Smooth Imperial, he organizes events to raise funds for Make-A-Wish America. In 2016, his first event was a success and raised over $1,600. And this year, Beers and Buckets Episode II is set on October 7th.
Learn more about his charity events on his website, smoothimperial.com.
When not in character, Andy is a Senior Support Engineer for a boutique Managed Service Provider in New York City looking after Healthcare Clients.

Reyan (Geelong, Victoria, Australia) @geelongtrooper
First, you have to watch this Instagram video.
Reyan is from Geelong, a port city in the state of Victoria, Australia. Though he doesn’t usually go country-hopping like most of the other Stormtroopers do, he is active in the local cosplay community in Geelong.
Without leaving his helmet behind, Reyan juggles many things simultaneously. He runs a small Geelong-based IT company, supports a local clothing designer as one of its brand ambassadors, and actively participates in comic conventions both in Geelong and other neighboring cities.
Just like Andy, Reyan finds ways to raise funds for Make-A-Wish Australia. He once streamed live on social media while having his legs waxed and received over $1,200 in cash donations.
Reyan has a Stormtrooper alter-ego named Brian. See him doing a Miley Cyrus Wrecking Ball impression.

Tyler (Dallas, Texas, USA) @thetrooperdude
Tyler is originally from Kansas City, Missouri, but he had also lived in Washington, D.C., Seattle, and Montana. At present, he considers Dallas, Texas his home where he is a Sales Executive at a popular international beverage company. Though stuck at work on most weekdays, he spends most of his weekends on vacation.
The first time he went out with his helmet in 2016, he took a 36-hour road trip on Star Wars Day (May the 4th be with you!). He drove from Washington, D.C. to New York and back, hitting five US states and seven cities during the trip. From then on, he’s been lugging his Stormtrooper helmet with him wherever he goes. He’s traveled with it to more than half of the states in the US and to many places in Europe, but still looking forward to visiting Australia, Japan, and China.
Tyler enjoys Disney Park rides, lounging on beach fronts, and doing canon balls on the pools. When in airports, he’s often spotted wearing his helmet and a matching Stormtrooper luggage.
A friend of his has the R2D2 spinner luggage. Every time they travel, they’d wait at the carousel for the bags to come out. Once it does, they’d blurt out in unison: “That’s the droid you’re looking for!”

Paweł (Warsaw, Poland) @rostwortrooper
Paweł is TD-90006. A certified 501st Legion Stormtrooper from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Outpost. He hails from Warsaw but work brought him to Dubai where he is a Service Representative for a well-known Japanese motorcycle manufacturer.
He first took his helmet at the Rogue One movie premiere in Madinat Jumeirah. From then on, he can be seen carrying his helmet wherever he goes to. Kuwait, South Africa, Japan, the USA, and Indonesia are just some of the countries he’d been to with his helmet.
He doesn’t have any particular destination in mind for a bucket list but he’d like to travel to more and more places and meet the guys from different garrisons along the way.
When not at work, Paweł usually hangs out with his fellow Stormtroopers and 501st Legion on top of the Address Hotel in Dubai. Otherwise he goes sailing yachts, riding motorbikes, and doing crossfit WR.

Sterling (Utah, USA) @that.stormtrooper.kid
At 15, Sterling may be the youngest in the troop but he’s definitely not the least traveled. Helmet and all, he’s been to China, Mexico, Canada, and many places in the US. His favorite destination so far is the land of giant pandas, Chengdu, China.
Europe tops on his bucket list. Particularly Ireland, Iceland, and Italy.
When not traveling (or sometimes, even when he is), he spends most of his time taking photos of Stormtroopers and other action figures. He’s so good on this craft, his other account (@sourcloud.photography) is making waves in the toy photography community. Here’s a review he once wrote of Star Wars 6″ 40th Darth Vader Black Series Review on Exclu Design Collective.

Noah (San Diego, California, USA) @yondutrooper_official
As he is yet to reach the required age of 18 to join the 501st Legion, Noah is currently an Imperial Howlers Cadet at the Galactic Academy. He is a Biker Scout (CTB2226), Stormtrooper (CTK2226), and a TIE Pilot (CTI2226).
As he confessed, when he started attending conventions, he can’t afford to buy the more lucrative Stormtrooper helmet and armors. But creative as he is, he made his own full stormtrooper armor sets and other costumes using the paper-mâché system.
Noah is looking forward to attending other bigger conventions such as the DragonCon and WonderCon. For now, these events are on his bucket list.

Tomas Katindig/TK-177 (Nueva Ecija, Philippines) @troopertravelsph
Tomas Katinding (TK) is my Stormtrooper alter-ego. He is responsible for maintaining our social media accounts. He first made his presence known when he trekked the half-kilometer summit of Mt. Pundaquit and island-hopped in Zambales, Philippines.
Wearing his Stormtrooper helmet, TK can be usually spotted traversing mountain trails, snorkeling at the Red Sea, posing with camels, or just fooling around wherever his feet lead him to. His most recent outing was on top of Saudi Arabia’s highest peak, Jabal Sawda.
His bucket list? Trek the summit of Mt. Fuji and hover over the Fairy Chimneys of Cappadocia on a hot air balloon.

Bonus: The Gentlemen of the Force @gentlemenoftheforce
The Gentlemen of the Force (GOTF) is an Instagram Community founded by fellow Stormtrooper edward.TK1116. It aims to raise funds for Make-A-Wish Foundation America. As of writing, GOTF has raised over $3,700 in cash donations. If you want to be part of the group, DM the GOTF account for details.
